The film begins at Idlewild Airport, now JFK Airport, and apparently the flight went through Boston. At :46 are shots of Portugal from the air and the shadow of the Constellation on the ground. At 1:11 are shots of the Connie in TWA livery at the Azores Airport. Passengers spend time taking pictures on the tarmac at 1:41. At 1:45 Lisbon’s pastel colored buildings are seen. At 2:00 the early morning activity at the Quay is shown, with women carrying goods on their heads and horsedrawn wagons going past, while at 2:34 fishermen display their catch. At 5:20 the Belem Tower is shown. At 5:50 the Jeronimons Monastery, at 6:24 the changing of the guard at the National Palace is shown, and at 6:46 the Park of Edward VII including the Estufa Fria with its pools. At 8:30 the Palace of Queluz is shown. At 11:40 Monserrate in the town of Sintra is shown with its outstanding mosaic tiles. At 11:53 Pena Castle is seen. At 13:21 a flower vendor or florist is shown. At 14:30 women are seen in a field cultivating crops and at 14:40 doing the wash in a river or stream.
