Created in the 1930s by the D.W. Ferguson Travel Service of Los Angeles, California, this fascinating silent travelogue is a portrait of pre-WWII Japan. It features rare views of Tokyo including the Imperial Diet, Kabuki Theater, and the Imperial Hotel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It also features footage of Lake Chuzenji, the Kegon Waterfall, the Great Buddha, Hakone, Lake Kawaguchi, Shiraito, Nagoya, the Toba Mikimoto Pearl Farm, Nara, and more. The trip continues in Reel 2.
