This 1963 color film is about a Model T run from London to Brighton celebrating Henry Ford’s centennial birthday. It is sponsored by the Ford Motor Company Limited and produced by Norman Vigars. A Model T is shown on a modern road in England on its way to London (:31-1:28). Additional vehicles include a 1923 Ford fire engine (1:34), a hackney carriage (1:36), and a 1921 van (1:38). A man pulls the top up on his Model T; others drive theirs in the rain (1:44-2:00). The cars line up at the Start banner as people and photographers watch. The Mayor of Battersea signals the rally to begin (2:01-2:50). A police officer directs a Model T delivery truck around the corner. Additional footage is shown of the fronts, sides and back of these classic vehicles, including a Model T roadster (2:51-3:55). The cars arrive at a checkpoint and some are photographed (3:55-4:13). A yellow Model T bus arrives (4:17-4:22). Inside the checkpoint building, participants are served hot beverages. Outside, adjustments are made on some vehicles (4:32-5:00). The cars are shown back on the road (5:01-5:30). A red 1921 fire engine is shown (5:32) and the 80 cars continue driving to Brighton 5:33-6:30). A Concours d’elegance (elegant competition) took place. People polish brash radiators and fixtures for judging (6:31-7:05). A Model T four-cylinder engine is shown (7:06-7:20). The drivers wear period clothing (7:40-7:52). During judging, clowns in a Model T entertain the crowd (7:58-8:05). The winners are congratulated and a new Ford Cortina is kissed by its raffle ticket prize winner (8:06-8:25).
