Made by the short-lived “World in Color Productions” company — and released in b&w — this short film shows scenes of Paris in the late 1940s/early 1950s. It was shot by G.B. Jarrett. This includes the Rue De Rivoli (:45) with fabulous jewelry shops and high end perfumeries (1:00), the Seine River (1:15), Notre Dame Cathedral (1:22), and more. At 2:18, a street scene, with a man sweeping trash into the gutter. at (2:41) the neo-classical colonnade of the Church of La Madeleine. At 2:48 the Eiffel Tower is visible through the Paris fog. At (3:00) the Champs Elysee with the Arc de Triomphe visible in the distance. At 3:20, closer views of the war memorial and eternal flame.
