This silent 16mm footage was most likely shot during and after the 2nd Moscow International Film Festival in 1961 (9 to 23rd of July). The movie contains scenes of all the major sightseeing spots in Moscow – the Red Square, Kremlin, Ivan the Great bell tower, Luzhniki stadium, the VDNKh, All-Union Exhibition of the National Economy, the Mt. Vorobyovy ski jump, GUM Central Department Store and a couple of special locations – the Moscow International Car Camping Ground, only one of 25 such locations in the entire Soviet Union, the Moscow swimming pool (now demolished), and the Ostankino Park and pond, before the TV tower was built and the pond deepened.
