A busy street in San Juan is shown, as is a large hotel and the Capital (1:41-1:55). The Clipper flies to the Virgin Islands. In St. Thomas, Bluebird’s Castle sits high on the hills. The 1839 grave of one of the wives he killed is shown (1:56-2:24). In Trinidad, Frederick Street includes people riding on donkeys and the J. Glendinning store (2:25-2:35). A man steps out of a boat onto a dock (2:50). A 1948 Woody station wagon (3:04) drives through dense trees. A rocky cove is framed by palm trees (3:16). A man and a woman use machetes to chop tall sugar cane stalks (3:23-3:31). Women dressed in colorful native clothing and waving fans sit down while men wearing straw hats play bongos and shake gourds. A man with a giant sombrero on his back dances with women. Another woman in a colorful dress dances by twirling and twisting (3:32-4:31). A trolley car passes a traffic policeman in striped pants, white jacket, and white pith helmet in Kingston, Jamaica (4:34-4:45). Beautiful gardens with fountains and flowers are shown (4:46-5:05). The crystal clear blue water and white sand beach of Montego Bay is shown. Two muscular men perform synchronized swan divers off a tall diving platform (5:15-5:28). On the terrace, a Jamaican band plays and two Jamaican children dance (5:30-6:00). The Clipper flies to Cuba. Passengers disembark from Pan American NC 88922. Passengers get into a 1940s Woody station wagon with a roof rack (6:03-6:25). A Cuban trio sings (6:26). The Pan American headquarters in Havana is shown (6:37). A 1948 Chrysler Town and Country woody with luggage rack passes the camera (6:38-6:45). The Presidential Palace of Batista is shown (6:46-7:00). A large Motorola sign hangs over a narrow street of shops, which the camera moves down (7:04-7:12). A man carries a very large table with colorful flowers (7:14). Shown are the Maximo Gomez Monument (7:19), El Morro Castle (7:24-7:29), the Malecon seawall (7:34), and the USS Maine Mast Memorial (7:40). Two couples sit in rocking chairs around a backyard pool with fake pink flamingos (7:53). A pretty woman with a large flower in her hair plays the guitar and sings. The backyards of expensive homes are shown (7:58-8:17). The wood drives through a gate that says Tropicana over it. The well-dressed couples are led to a table. A group of colorfully dressed Cubans dance the Rhumba and Conga (8:19-9:11).
