45364 1971 VIETNAM WAR PROTEST PEACE MOVEMENT HIPPIE HOME MOVIE SHOT BY WILLIAM LING

This silent film footage dates to 1971 and shows various scenes related to protests against the Vietnam War. This includes some of the protests known as “Operation Dewey Canyon III’ that included members of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (read more here: http://www.vvaw.org/veteran/article/?id=1656) The demonstration was given its name, “Operation Dewey Canyon III”, in reference to military operations known as Dewey Canyon I and II. Some of the aspects of these offensives included secret incursions into Laos that were never reported to the American people.
