This charming 16mm silent Kodachrome home movie shows Christmas for an average American family. The kids receive many presents including at the 10:50 mark, a cardboard rocket ship. This item was sold in comic books of the time for $4.98 and advertised as a “jet” rocket ship.
We have yet to find footage of the even more famous cardboard Polaris submarine which was sold in the same era!
Other toys spotted include a toy airplane…blocks…cars and trucks. What do you see?
We encourage viewers to add comments and, especially, to provide additional information about our videos by adding a comment! See something interesting? Tell people what it is and what they can see by writing something for example like: “01:00:12:00 — President Roosevelt is seen meeting with Winston Churchill at the Quebec Conference.”
