The earliest-known nuclear scare movie, ONE WORLD OR NONE was released in 1946, just months after the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Produced by Philip Ragan (whose identity remains something of a mystery) this impressive cartoon was funded by the Federation of American Scientists. It pre-dates all the so-called “Atomic Scare Films” but manages to predict many of the great political, moral and other quandaries created by the atomic bomb.
