This silent home movie shows a wild, alcohol-fueled New Years Eve Party in the 1950’s as family and friends bring in the New Year with festivity, games, dancing, food and refreshments. It appears to take place in a basement and features some men in drag! The film opens with various shots of the guests dancing around the floor (:12). Horse play between guests includes members pulling at another guest’s underwear (:14). This guest is dressed as Baby New Year with a cloth diaper (:16). A few shots follow of guests pulling up their own dresses or shorts to reveal their own undergarments (:40). One guest in particular has his pants removed to reveal a jock strap (:49). Simulated mating act at (1:06). The cameraman zooms in on guests faces as they enjoy food and beverages of the evening (1:23) and captures a couple planting a smooch on one another (1:38). Guests mill throughout the basement as the camera follows them around (2:13). An image of a naked woman is zoomed in on (2:35) prior to another shot of guests kissing (3:12). As the wild evening nears it’s end, and the film as well, the guests sit in chairs lining the room and sip some much needed coffee (3:48).
