Sound film made by the Matson steamship company to promote their service in the Pacific entitled PORTS OF PARADISE. Likely dating to the immediate post-WWII period, the film features the SS Monterey. I believe that ship went out of company service in 1952, so doubtless the film dates from before that date. What you will see here are rare images of Matson service on a trip across the Pacific.
