Here are two promo films about Boeing helicopters. The first “Battlefield Pegasus” focuses mainly on the CH-47 Chinook and the other film “Wings for the Ground Commander” looks at the CH-46 Sea Knight. These are circa 1967/1968. The Boeing CH-47 Chinook is a heavy, tandem rotor helicopter developed by rotorcraft company Vertol and manufactured by Boeing Vertol. The CH-46 Sea Knight is a medium-lift tandem-rotor transport helicopter powered by twin turboshaft engines, which was designed by Vertol and manufactured by Boeing Vertol (following Vertol’s acquisition by Boeing).

Opening title: Boeing Vertol Division / Battlefield Pegasus (:08-:22). Soldiers in the jungles of Vietnam. They walk slowly and take cover, an explosion goes off. Boeing Vertol 107 / CH-46 airborne ambulance approaches. Soldiers carry injured for evacuation. Soldiers examine opening of tunnel system in the jungle. Viet Cong prisoners of war are moved by soldiers (:23-2:27). The CH-47 Chinook lands. A Huey and a Chinook. Troops line up. Chinook takes off. A Chinook lands, picks up 105mm howitzer artillery piece and carries it off. A crew stand near the gun and fire it. Chinooks (2:28-4:14). A CH-47 Chinook picks up what appear to be barbed wire bales (4:43). The Chinook opens the back and a M274 Truck or mule, ammunition carrying vehicle comes out of the back. Cargo is dropped onto the ground. Caterpillar generators are delivered. A disabled Huey helicopter is salvaged by a CH-47 Chinook, which lifts the downed Huey (4:15-6:47). A group of CH-46 Sea Knights in the sky. One of them lands and marines exit. A second one drops off troops as well and takes off into the sky. The Sea Knight has a rear loading ramp and cargo is unloaded. Sea Knights are also adept at recovering downed choppers including a Sikorsky H-34 “Choctaw” (8:20). A Sea Knight lifts cargo off of a Navy ship. Navy warships at sea. CH-47B helicopter fresh off assembly line has some improvements, these are explained. Rotor head. The CH-47B lifts off (8:42-10:30).
