This 1950s era, black and white recruiting film is about three Navy reservists on patrol in the Mediterranean visiting Morocco and Italy. It is a catalog of their touring these great countries, the sites they see in the adventures they have. The film opens with a Navy aircraft selling overhead. Mediterranean Patrol. US Naval Air Station, Anacostia D.C. Plane takes off from the tarmac; it is a Navy Neptune P2V Anti-Submarine aircraft. The African continent is seen from an aerial view 1:16. The bomber comes in for landing in North Africa 1:20. The plane experiences a flat tire upon landing 1:43. Fire engines arrive to assist the plane 1:55. Sailors and airmen greet one another 2:20. The airmen shape up the planes ready for maneuvers 2:50. The radar is checked on one of the aircraft 3:00. One of the North African mechanics cleans out the guns 3:18. A sign for Casablanca 3:30. The city of Rabat, capital of Morocco 3:42. The arch at Rabat 3:50. Different sites of downtown Morocco and Rabat 4:12. The wide boulevards of Rabat 4:33. The modern railroad station 4:47. One of the men fakes a fall in front of a pretty lady on the Spanish steps 18:35. The sailor forgets his hat and the girl needs to chase after him 19:00. They ride off together 19:23. The aviators flirt with the Italian lady and go out for a soda to a Trattoria 20:50. The three Navy reservists sit at the café with the Italian lady 22:45. The pasta and Coca-Cola’s are served and consumed 23:44. The Navy reservists take a horse and carriage down the boulevard 24:20. The Roman Forum 24:50.
