Created in 1954, this Cold War U.S. Navy training film explains various methods to defend against Atomic, Biological and Chemical (ABC) attacks. The film was created to provide technical information for those who are concerned with planning preparatory defense measures and minimizing the damage that might result from nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare attacks on the Shore Establishment; and exercising control of areas that are contaminated as the result of accidents that involve nuclear weapons. It shows various methods to decontaminate in the event of a nuclear, chemical gas or biological attack, and how to use equipment such as a gas mask and Geiger counter in the field.
