This wonderful short documentary from the 1940s recounts some of the highlights of aviation, and shows many historic aircraft from Louis Bleriot’s to Lindbergh’s. The film includes a WWI dogfight (at an airshow), and shots of the P-51, Vought Corsair, P-40 Warhawk from the “Flying Tigers”, among others. It also shows various barnstorming performances including wing walking by men and women, and an aerobatic exhibition with low-level parachuting performed from a biplane, and a “plane of death” flies into a building.
