A US Navy film, written and produced in the Southwest Pacific. Dedicated to the Officers and Men of VP Squadrons, Commander of Aircraft, Seventh Fleet. The Story of the Black Cats is about the Black Cats Squadron – rare night fighter aircraft of the US Navy from 1943-1945. The planes were PBY Catalina amphibian aircraft that were converted to bombers, which would attack the Japanese Navy at night in the Pacific Theater.
