One of Southern California’s first motorcycle clubs, The Psychos (also known as Los Psychos) formed in San Bernardino after WWII and quickly developed a reputation for toughness. While The Psychos became known for some of their community activities — including supporting military veterans and participating in events to promote the preservation of Route 66 — an offshoot of the club known as Vatos MC has a more notorious history.

Shot in the 1970s by a proud member of the club, this silent home movie documents a trip to the San Francisco Bay area and a ride across the Golden Gate Bridge (2:17). Various customized bikes are shown including some of the club’s most distinctive choppers.
