This black & white educational film is about the Tibetian Borders. It is an episode from a TV show called TRUE ADVENTURE that aired from 1960-1961.

It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh, India. Shepards of high himalayas (8:07-10:18) Monastery visit. A New Years dance celebration. Annually they get 80 inches of rain – in 2 months. Average temp is 63 degrees. Ghoom Monastery. There are seven different new years in this part of the world. A new years celebration is shown (19:36-22:35). Lord Buddha was born in Nepal. His celebration is about to begin. The celebration and festivities are shown.
