General Erwin Rommel is seen at 1:12 surveying the advance of Panzer tank columns while at 1:33 artillery is directed at British lines. At 1:50 Rommel personally observes the artillery strikes.At 2:15 infantry crosses through British barbed wire.At 2:30 Stukas strike near Tobruk. At 3:27 a command post in a shallow cave is shown. At 3:47 Rommel eats lunch in his car. At 4:00 an egg is cooked on the armor of a tank. At 4:25 flies join German soldiers while they eat. At 4:44 a field hospital is shown complete with nurses who care for patients. At 5:14 Rommel is shown again as the advance through the sand continues. At 5:26 a deaths head flag waves in the wind of the furious German advance.
