This silent film footage shows a visit to the 1964 New York World’s Fair which took place at Flushing Meadows – Corona Park in Queens, New York City. This fair was the second worlds fair to be hosted in New York City and held over 140 pavilions and 110 restaurants, representing 80 nations, 24 US states, and over 45 corporations. The theme of the fair was “Peace through Understanding.” Popular exhibits included General Motors’ “Futurama II” portraying the world of 2064, American Telephone and Telegraph’s models of the Picturephone, the large dinosaur sculptures in Sinclair Oil’s “Dinoland” among others.
