This color educational/promotional film is about visiting Europe. It was made in 1955. The film was apparently made by S.L. Huffman whose daughter Frances is seen throughout. S.L. Huffman may have owned the Dayton, Ohio broadcast station WCMW through Stark Broadcasting Corporation.

Opening titles: “A Teenager Takes a Look at Europe” (:07-:26). Students sit in a darkened classroom. One reads a book called ‘Growth of Nations.’ A girl looks at a world map. A girl climbs the stairs to her TWA jet. A jet flys (:27-1:28). Blue waters of Portugal. People walk along a Portugal street. Houses. Men wear suits as cars pass by. The countryside. Green hillsides, in the distance, the city of Lisbon. Lisbon city limits with cobblestone streets. Cars drive by. Buildings. Lisbon street cars. Steep hills of Lisbon. Lisbon’s waterfront where the fish ladies roam. Boys also roam the waterfront. Blue waters, cascading waves. A school is visited where girls in Sunday suits climb the stairs. They are on the roof to get a better view of the ocean. Women wave at the camera. An ancient monastery. Girls do a folk dance. Out for a walk the girls roam. A Portuguese game is played. A special doll is given

Women from the village wash their clothes outside. Herds of sheep walk quietly on the side of the road. They are herded by a villager. Spanish people walk the city square in the sun. A woman shows off her baby. People walk around. A market is visited. A farmer plows with oxen. A woman holds a sheep and a lamb. Rome, Italy. Vatican City. American Amusement device operating in the shadows of the Vatican. Ruins of Pompeii. In market square pigeons are fed. Ernest Hemmingway, the famous author, waves from his pier waiting for a gondola. A gondola ride in Venice, Italy. The canals of Venice. Boats, hanging laundry – sights of the canals. A fish lady in the canals sells eels. Mourners walk behind a hearse to mourn a death. St. Mark’s Square and its famous clock. Iron men strike the hour with their iron mallets (7:03-13:33). Meeting an American Ambassador in Switzerland. Matterhorn mountain in the Alps. Snowy mountains of Zermatt, Switzerland. Skiers ready nearby. Ski train in the snow. Skiers hold their skis and get ready to go. Shots of the snowy mountains and of the Matterhorn. Women walk in the snow carefully. Skiers ski (13:34-15:36). Girls school. Girls act in front of the camera. A visit with a theater director who makes the passion play every ten years (15:36-16:40). Visiting a family in Germany. Children frolic. Children walk to school where the Pied Piper was said to have been. The Pied Piper of Hamelin is a character of legend from the town of Hamelin, Lower Saxony, Germany. A castle in Heidelberg, Germany. Cars race along The Autobahn. Stockholm, Sweden military walk and perform exercises. Keukenhof, also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world’s largest flower gardens, situated in the town of Lisse, in the Netherlands.
