This silent German film shows “Skiing in the Lowlands” or more specifically, flatland cross country skiing. It starts with an image of a wristwatch at :25, before showing a platoon of ski troops on the move at :45. Various ski techniques are shown. At 11:00, skis are coated with wax or oil.
The numbers showing up on screen correspond to a booklet which originally accompanied the film but has now been lost.
