This color educational film is about nuclear weapons in the world, what countries have them, and the possibilities of them being used. Copyright is 1966.

Opening titles: Nuclear Power in World Politics (:06-:18). NORAD in the NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado. A screen has a portion of the United States circled. Chet Huntley, an NBC news correspondent, talks from inside NORAD. A man on the phone, computer buttons are pressed. 830 missiles are at the ready. 600 B-52 long range jet bombers, a bomber takes off. 54 Titan 2 missiles, a missile is fired. 34 Nuclear submarines in the oceans, each has 16 missiles. A compass, eyes, numbers, a clock, a finger presses the ‘fire’ button. Soviet Union, a parade of people watches as the military rolls out the weaponry. Unofficial reports state that the Soviet Union has: 270 intercontinental missiles. Moscow correspondent speaks (:19-2:26). Great Britain. A Victor/Vulcan bomber rolls down the runway. It takes off into the sky. Denis Healey, British Secretary of State for Defense from 1964 to 1970 and Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1974 to 1979, speaks. February 1960, France exploded a nuclear missile in the Algerian desert. Huge clouds of fire. Pierre Messmer, French Minister speaks. Paris correspondent speaks on France and nuclear weaponry. Physicist Ralph Lapp speaks on poor countries creating an atomic bomb. He shows a diagram on a chalk board and explains how a bomb can be converted to become more dangerous (2:27-6:27). Footage from Communist China, their first nuclear explosion. Lapp continues speaking. Poor peasants of China working, carrying items. U.S. Secretary of Defense, Robert McNamara, speaks. India – January 1966, the Prime Minster is dead. People build a fire. Raj Krishna, an Indian Economist, speaks (6:28-8:25). Indian people protest the bomb. Israel – Israeli troops watch. Abba Eban, Israeli Diplomat, speaks. Chet Huntley talks. A U.S. battleship in the Mediterranean Sea, jets take off from the ship. Shimon Peres, former Israeli Prime Minister, speaks. High tension wires that lead into the Negev Desert. A nuclear reactor in the distance. Israeli nuclear reactor with a wire fence (8:26-11:22). Gamel Nasser, President of Egypt, speaks. Correspondent Irving Levine speaks. Israeli nuclear reactor in a still picture. Germany – the wall. West German army. Troops march and sing. Kai-Uwe Von Hassel, West German politician, speaks. A missile sits upright in shadow. Troops wearing helmets in shadow. A missile is launched. Chet Huntley speaks at a desk with a map behind him. F-104 plane rolls out with a German pilot. Two F-104s take off. Three F-104s in the sky. Bonn, Germany correspondent speaks. West German troops fire rifles. London correspondent speaks (11:23-14:46). Paris correspondent speaks followed by a Moscow correspondent. West German troops turn and look from side to side as orders are yelled. They begin to march. Geneva, the disarmament conference, Nations leaders discuss. Chet Huntley speaks. The disarmament conference,a woman walks around, leaders talk, pictures are taken by the press. A picture of New York City behind a man. New York City at night (14:47-18:19). End credits (18:20-18:26).
