What is needed for a high schooler to become a hotel manager? High school: likable, handles self well, commands respect, serious student, helps others (2:00-3:20). Questions about college: High School Student Counselor regarding scholarships, (5:20-5:42). Second year decide whether Business Administration or Hotel Administration (12:41-12:50). Take: Accounting, Business Statistics, Business Finance, Speech, food laboratory courses (12:51-15:11). Third and Fourth years take: Business Law, Hotel Accounting, Labor Economics, Statistics, Finance, Personnel Administration (15:12-15:32). Practical experience comes from volunteering at vacation, jobs, field trips, internships, visiting outstanding restaurants (15:33-15:58).
