This Soviet Ukrainian film, narrated in English and entitled “No Statute of Limitations”, was directed by Eugen Tataretz. It depicts the court case prosecuting crimes against humanity committed during WWII by fascist collaborators Mykola Dufanets, Artem Bubela and Filip Rybachuk. The three were members of the Occupied Territories Reich Police and participated in rounding up the Jewish population to bring them to the ghetto in the Krymnoe Village of the Starovyzhevski county of the Volyn region in 1941. The film shows the court proceedings but also contains state sanctioned criticism towards contemporary Ukrainian nationalists, the state of Israel and so-called “Zionist” Jewish organizations. The film ends with the sentencing to death of the three accused. (Among the charges were: massacre of 263 adult Jews and 125 children in 1941, and execution of more than 2800 people, or the entirety of the population of Korty-Lissy village in 1942, and the extermination of more than 2000 ethnically Polish Soviet citizens)
