Louise Thaden sets the women’s endurance record with a flight of 22 hours, 3 minutes, 12 seconds in a Travel-Air plane (9:24-9:52). Fashions of the Day 1926 (9:54). May 29, 1926, President and Mrs. Coolidge attend the wedding of businessman Andrew Mellon’s daughter. Shown are the bride and her bridesmaid’s in their dresses (10:00-10:38). Sports (10:40). 1922, champion golfers Gene Sarazen and Walter Hagen compete against Jim Barnes and Jock Hutchison (10:45-11:19). 1933, the second running of the Steeplechase takes place in Grasslands, Tennessee. Shown are many falls of horses and jockeys. The winning jockey holds the Winner’s Cup (11:20-12:28).
