This hilariously campy 1960s educational film, SEE A JOB, subtitled WHAT’S A NICE GIRL LIKE YOU DOING WAY UP HERE WHEN THE GROUND’S WAY DOWN THERE, tells the story of Elaine Vaughn, an African-American Pan Am airline stewardess. With a cast of characters including a “swinger in seat 5B” (1:28 mark), this is one film not to be missed!
As the film states, Vaughn was a high school graduate who became one of Pan Am’s elite stewardesses, flying the NY to Paris and NY to Rome routes. We wonder what became of her!
Includes footage in a 1960s airport at the 4:45 mark, great in-flight service with champagne at the 9:45 mark, and a jazzy score throughout.
